West picnic site is a good place to have the picnic. It is near the lake, there is a playground there, the picnic tables are under a roof. There is a reasonable amount of parking spots. It is a really nice place. There is a marina not far from it. They have row boat and paddle wheel boats. I am not sure if it will be open on the 20th of September. It is at one of the park.
One gets off route one on the side of Quakerbridge mall on Quakerbridge Road. One travels away from route one and Quakerbridge Mall. A couple of miles down the road one turns left to a road that leads to Mercer County Park on the left which is right before Mercer County Community College.
I have not created a list, yet. This is my first time organizing anything like this. I will try to pm others who might be interested.
I will be bringing some stuff. If every one brings some stuff, we should have enough for every one. I am not sure on activities. It would be interesting to see what every one can bring in their Fortwo.
I have a list with about 90 names. PM's can take 5 at a time... I can send you the list if you PM your e-mail.. Agree everyone should bring enough for themselves plus a little extra.
Last week at the M&G in MD we all hung out by cars, then went in a restaurant to eat & talk. Was fun, but inside you are just at one table, eating outside we can mingle. I'm looking for small disposable beach grills..
My e-mail address is tomleem @ comcast . net . Thank you for collecting a list.
One might be able to get a disposable beach grills at the grocery store or at Home Depot. They might have one a sporting stores too. I saw some at SuperFresh.
It is listed in the SCOACalendar. I sent an e-mail to MCP about if it I need to reserve the West picnic area for 09-20-2008. Since it is the holiday, I won't hear back from them till Tuesday.
