April 26th is good for me. I voted for Cherry Hill (mainly because its close) but I'm not adverse to Edison, being more central. Do we have any idea of the delivery and/or forum user distribution? Does it skew more North, Central, or South?
And food is always a good draw, so a diner is not a bad idea. The Fuddruckers down here in Turnersville has monthly hotrod meets in the nice weather and its always a big crowd. I may just take the little guy over for the first one this year for grins and giggles.
A diner is fine for me too if everyone would prefer that instead. I just thought with it being our first M&G that we would want some help from the dealerships. However breakfast at a diner would be great too.
I highly recommend the Park Wood Diner in Maplewood, NJ on Springfield Avenue (07040). It's halfway between GSP (Exit 144) and Hwy 78 (Exit 50-B) in Essex County. Or how about the Paramount Diner in Parlin, NJ (08859) which is just south of Raritan Bay Bridge (near Exit 126 on GSP) in Middlesex County. They have a huge parking lot and are right off Route 35. It's also less than a mile from a nearby beach and waterfront area with a new parking lot.
This new suggestion is up to everyone but I'm game just as long as we meet up. What say everyone else? Dealership involvment or on our own at a Diner on the 26th? I vote breakfast to avoid weekend rush hour too. Thanks, Regina
Another diner recommendation would be Mastori's in Bordentown. It's good enough that my hubby is more than willing to make the 2.5 hr drive from up here on Long Island to go there... http://www.mastoris.com/
They've also got a big parking lot and loads of 'rooms' that can be used to accommodate groups of any size.
Not affiliated, just a happy consumer...
I've been a long time Mastoris fan. Oooh, cheese rolls.... Sure sign it's good - every senior citizen bus trip my folks went on with their groups from Philly stopped there on the way to the NJ Turnpike. Close to I-195 and I-295 too.

And see we moved to NJ originally from Canada, where diners are a stop of absolute last resort, and only after trying gnawing on each other's limbs. We never let anyone talk us into going to Mastori's until less than a month before we moved out of NJ. DOH!!!!
There's still a specialty shop in Mercerville that we drive to several times/year and hubby is always willing to drive, even me and several girlfriends, so long as he gets his stop at Mastori's...
Also, we should confirm the April Saturday date. However, first I must apologize to you all for flipping the script by stating 4/26 as our date when I initially mentioned 4/5, 4/12 & 4/19. I was thinking about giving our selected dealership enough time to accommodate our little gang especially during their heavy sales day of the week. Nothing is set in stone but time is fast approaching so we should pick the best Saturday or Sunday to meet up.
With regard to a change in venue like a diner, I think Breakfast is the best bet as this will allow folks time to avoid some of the weekend traffic. Furthermore, the restaurant of choice may require that we schedule a reservation well in advance.
To get the ball rolling, let's close the poll on Sunday, March 30. By this date, we need to know your suggestions on a venue if you decide against the dealership choice and the best weekend date during April.
Ok..don't be shy so please speak up. The more participation the better.
Thanks and please add your name to the list, Regina

Just a suggestion. On April 25th, 26th and 27th, there is a Global Green Expo being held at Liberty State Park and I will be representing smart at the event. Why not do a Meet & Greet there on one of those days like the 26th and you can attend the event also. It is a good way of getting together, plus supporting the community and gaining awareness about our environment. The Expo is a family green festival with guest speakers Ted Danson, Ed Begley Jr, Jeff Corwin with book signings, entertainment, and more.
More than likely I will be there on all 3 days, with Saturday the 26th being a bit harder to attend since it is our busiest day at the showroom.
Let me know. I would like to see all your faces and your smarts!
Regina, I know this was supposed to initially be a NJ M&G, but would it be permissable to post a thread about this in the NY chapter?
EDIT: Here is more info about the Global Green Expo:
