Philly Auto Show

Philly Auto Show is this week. Anybody going? I'm thinking about going Thursday 2/5 (coincidentally Ant Bee's one year anniversary). Probably will drive to Lindenwold and take the Hi-Speed Line in from there. Tom

I would be curious to see if the Philly show is a little weak this year due to the economy, like the North American International show in Detroit was according to reports. Being from Philly I sometimes drive/fly up from Florida to catch it but this year....brrrrrr. It's cold enough in FL this week. Call me a big chicken re: the weather, but when you add in the cost and possibly a less than stunning show....naaaaahhhhhh!

If you are like me, you will get on here afterwards and say...WOW, that was the most awsesome show I have ever seen. Completely off the hook. Just to throw a little zinger at guys like me.

they cancelled barcelona outright, tough times for trade shows.

I went on Sunday. Nothing special. It was more like they just set up dealerships in the Convention Center. I didn't see any concept cars or anything like that.

I was hoping that someone from Smart USA was going to be there, but the people at the Smart booth were from the Devin Hill Center. Nice people, but not what I was hoping for that day.

I was also interested in checking out the iQ but it wasn't at either Toyota or Scion and no one had any info about it which was disappointing.

I attended the Philly Auto Show today and I wasn't disappointed. It was as good or better than DC Auto Shows I have attended. Some highlights were: the pre-production Hyundai Genesis Coupe, the Nissan Cube, the Mini Cooper Clubman. In the smart display were both new colors - red and grey. The grey is metallic. It was interesting to eavesdrop on folks looking at smarts. The show floor was busy.
