Anybody want to sell their MINI Cooper?

Wife finally went to check out the smart with me to the San Francisco Benz dealership, and while she was thoroughly thrilled about the car, after we walked out of the dealership, reality set in.

She reminded me that we have a baby and that another little one will probably join us in the not distant future. I had thought that I could shuttle the baby around in the smart but with two young'ns the car is useless.... for that purpose. Unless they come up with "stacking" baby car seats or something like that

So I noticed that a lot of members on the board had MINI coopers and some
of them would be selling them as soon as their smart arrived.

Anybody interested in selling their mini? I prefer a red, standard (non-S) model in the northern CA area, or within 200 miles of San Francisco.

We have a MINI for sale here at the Portland dealership One of our customers traded it in when he bought his smart.

Give us a call at 503-200-5200 if you'd like more info on it.

Not to downplay MINI's, but you had better check the fit of that child seat before you get all excited. A rear-facing child seat would be a tough squeeze at best, and require the passenger in the front to be right up on the dash.

After looking at the Clubman over the weekend, it might be a better solution with the half door access to the rear seat - which appears deeper than the MINI. But, you won't find any used ones out there for a while.

From what I've seen over several years, that seems to be accurate. They are great cars, but not as practical as a family requires. It filled a niche that the TT fills now, and the Smart may fill in the future - we have an old pickup for hauling stuff, a sedan for carrying a group, and the TT, (MINI, Smart, etc.) for play time.

Isn't it play time ALL the time?

Hmm, so with a TT, MINI and Smart to be, guess I'm just into the playing, too! (Under pressure I will admit I rely on parent and sister for use of Suburbans, when needed...)

Thanks for bringing that up, I hadn't thought of that. We will go thru the exercise of putting the baby in the child seat in the backseat at the dealership and see how much of an effort that is, as well as how tight of a fit it is.
