Can MB sell a Front Wheel Car in the US

I got my Motor Trend the other day in the mail. There was a article, about the new MB A class. Nice looking little car. Base price 29K. Front wheel drive.
208 hp turbo, and 6 speed manual. Its called the CLC class. Many platforms are going to be base off it. It looks a lot like a Madza 3, from the side view. 4 door hatch. 29K??????

That's a crazy price; the much larger B-Class is sold in Canada for about the same.

Some people are so mesmerized by the Land-See-Luft Stern that they'll pay over the odds for anything.

Every car I bought in the US had front wheels.

Keep going. Porsche, Lamborgini, Maserati, German run Mercedes, Ferrari. All rwd for a reason. If I want a front wheel drive car I'll get one that burns rice, and save the money.

I wonder if MB wants this car to compete with the Mini line up. Horse power and price? Is this car a lot bigger?
