Change of Avitar

OK, for the season I have changed my avitar. Why the original Boston Patriots and not the current NE Patriots? Well it is a "sea story" that goes back to the very first days of the Pats, and the coach, and the coach's daughter. Nothing at all salty; just a good friend. Natick (MA) H.S. - really early '60s. GO PATS!!

Fear not, Fred and I do not actually hold sports animosities, not even Army/Navy. But like Fred has done, all are welcome to visit Williamsburg and we will sit about, and swill ales and sip spirits and eat well, and maybe get into how Natick High School was running the "shotgun" offense in 1961, courtesy of the Pat's Coach Holovac and Pat's Asst coach Jim Stehlin.

Well, despite some lingering bitterness over what your Red Sox did to my poor Colorado Rockies, I will be rooting for the Pats on Feb 3rd....

Pats are having one heck of a season, and that is one heck of an invitation.
Thanks

Well now that we know Bret Favre is going home and Eli Manning is under the gun to take down a serious opponent I am torn...

Those of you who ever get a chance to be in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia should take Fishrdnc up on his offer.

Last December he an I met in a local restaurant on the Williamsburg square. We drank, supped, and conversed for a couple of hours... Exceptional gentleman, lots of interesting perspectives, experiences, and well versed on most any subject. I had a great time and hope he enjoyed my company as much as I enjoyed his.

Williamsburg is it's own experience. I recommend any Citizen in the USA visit this place at least once. Nearby is Jamestown and Yorktown. The early American history in these places is well displayed and beautifully maintained.... One of few places in America were they cater very well to tourists. No smarmy feel of typical tourist attractions.

Member Fishrdnc can assist in recommending local fare, good motel/hotel, parking suggestions, and best times to see certain things.... I am not volunteering him to be your personal tour guide-- but for inside scoop on how best to enjoy your time in this area he has a lot of good advice...

Just becaus they are his team..... and I respect his judgment

Go PATs!
