I have one simple test for any car foriegn or domestic..... Can I get into it??? can I sit in the seat without laying all the way on my back and see out the windshield??? My last few vehicles have been SUV's just for the reason that I don't want to lay intop the back seat to see out the windshield. The Omni was a good example of a car you could sit in and not have to lay back. It did have a few problems ( I used to work at a Dodge dealership) and we did have a farmer use one for hauling hay bales, which burned out the trans real quick.
When the US automakers make a car that fits my needs, I'll buy one, as long as it isn't in the $25,000 plus price range. My son's Grand Prix is absolutely worthless to me as I can't even get into it without a major concussion.
