At this morning's rate: £5 = $9.92 for an Imperial gallon, or $8.26 for a US gallon.

But, since they can't buy their gas in US gallons (they actually buy in liters, or litres) they are paying the equivalent of the higher price.

Speaking only for myself, when I reserved on March 12 2007, I wasn't psychic about gas prices...... more like lustful over the tiny car...... but I'll pat away.....

At the local auto auction last week they had 17 trucks/SUVs that didn't even get a bid. Never saw that before.

Remember though, in the UK they don't drive as much/as far per day as most Americans do.
Luckily they have a better public transportation than we do...
