Kandy COCO (smart wannabe)

Anybody heard about the Kandy COCO (China's smart wannabe?)

Allegedly you get 65 MPG, but it's only 250cc, single cylinder, 4-stroke, water cooling, automatic, 5.28 gal. tank, 10.5kw/6000rpm, 25 MPH top(!) speed, 103.6" x 69.9" x 61.5"

I can't tell if it's even street legal...

low speed vehicle?

It says it is a low speed vehicle. If it does not go very fast or very far, it is really competing with the Smart Fortwo?

Looks more like a 'resort' car....there are 'cars' like this in some resorts outside the US. On site use and not public highways.

I think the term here is "gas-powered golf cart." Obviously, with a top speed of 25 mph, you couldn't use it on the majority of roads outside a housing community. Clearly it would never meet bumper/emissions/safety standards. Where would you get it worked on? Where do you get parts? How solid do you think the construction of this vehicle is? Warranty?

And the only contact information for this company is the email address at the top of the page. Doesn't pass the sniff test to me.
