Add Vancouver to the list of cities where Mitsubishi will field test its jellybean-shaped electric car, which is so eagerly anticipated in Japan the automaker plans to ramp up production to meet demand.
There's still no word on when we'll see the i MiEV in the U.S., but Mitsubishi is sending a pair of them to British Columbia later this year to see how it performs in real-world conditions. The announcement follows similar deals the automaker has signed with utilities in California and government officials in Monaco, Hong Kong and New Zealand.
Wish they sold the gas version of it here in the US, it's like a 4 door smart. They could even use the same engine!
The gassers do use the (almost) same engine. Instead of our 999cc, normally-aspirated 3B21, they use the 659cc, turbo 3B20T. It actually has a little more torque than ours.
