My 13 year old son drove with me home from the dealer with the windows down and the radio blasting. He commented that the gas gauge was down one gallon. I explained to him that the dealer said it happens on the first tank or two. By the time we got home the gauge was all black so Jordan commented that not only was the Smart fun, it filled itself with gas!!!
That happened to my wallet. . .my Toyota Rav4 had a respectable 24 mpg, and the Smart kept me on a par when gas topped $4 per gallon - no net increase in fuel cost per month. But since then, it has been putting money back in my pocket.
