I like it, it is just silly looking and actually seems to be practical. Any car that will make me grin when i see it is alright by me

I think I'd give it a chance. If it really makes it here I'm going to look at it and drive one around before I say anything bad about it.
I didn't say anything about injuries to passengers, just damage to the car..er van, whatever. The tailgate on that thing looks to be at about the height of many vehicles front bumpers, and it curves out so just about any hit to the bumper will damage the gate and most likely the taillights. Im sure passengers will be fine though.

It looks more like it is a swing gate from the drivers side.

I know you didn't say anything about injuries. Sorry if that came across as snippy - after reading what I wrote I know it seems that way.

I was only comparing how we (people in general) tend to look at something and become an expert without any factual knowledge of something.

How many people have looked at your Smart and automatically assumed it'll explode after the slightest bump? In fact, it couldn't be farther from the truth.

I say give the Cube a chance before you say too much negative about it. Personally, I like it because it doesn't look like everything else. Mechanically, I haven't had much luck with Nissans. I'd be willing to give it a try if I was in the market.

They have a slick web site
2009 Nissan Cube - Nissan USA

Symmetry is so last year

They have Shag on the dash
24 colors of mood lighting
Rippes as a theme

And for those that realy cool useless items, order the 3d Brochure, I think you will need a webcam for it to work.

It's ok. I get the whole "death trap" thing too in the smart.
