production toyota iQ

Here's a shot of the production version of the iQ. Not too shabby! The three + child seating capacity is interesting. Now, will they offer it here?

Me too!

No plans for bringing this car to the US - at this time.

The concept looked waaaay better with tighter design angles- but I still suspect that if this comes to the US it could really alter the market for smart.

They will eventually bring it here based on smart sales volume for 2009. Don't knock it as it will sell like hotcakes to the masses. The discerning and pioneer type will opt for a Mercedes product, and certainly one with a Tridion for crash protection.

Have to say I'm a big Toyota fan and if this arrived in US spec form, had as good or better crash ratings and could equal or beat smart mpg at a competitive price, I would certainly be interested. All of those are unknowns at the moment but the car business is very competitive and the other manufacturers are not standing still.

I'm also a huge Toyota fan. It would depend on the MPG and over-all length and price and noise levels, etc. But if I could get Toyota reliability in a smart sized vehicle, sign me up!
