I got an email from them since my '98 Pontiac Grand Am was damaged in this way. Cost me a LOT of money back a few years ago. Car is now (obviously) 10 years old.

I understand they (GM) will pay up to $800 for any engine damage; probably won't cover all your costs but better than nothing. Hope they send you the $$$ soon.
