Oh yeah, just like anything, once you really get into it, there is a whole lot more going on than what appears on the surface. Lots of strategy, deals and different races within the race. Drivers, manufacturers and owners points all factor in.

No TV here, and not much happening within cheap driving distance...

Sorry. I am right smack in the middle of race and car show heaven. From early May to November there is some kind of car show, race or event every weekend. Some weekends in June there is 5 or 6 things happening. Have to choose.

Actually, I had no idea. I'm not a NASCAR fan and I don't really pay much attention to the NASCAR-related threads. I only found this one because my name was mentioned.
