Had a Renault LeCar, loved it then. Today? No thank you! Likewise for the new "deuche" (Citroën 2CV). But an old one, if I had the dow... yes.

Sure it wasn't broke down and abandoned?

I grew up on Renaults and other French stuff so I'm quite content with my L'Smart. (LeSmart)

Hey, I have an R5 Turbo '81, looking at it as I type...

Speaking of the Citroën 2CV, a special exhibit in Paris marks its 60th birthday. Here is the story from the BBC:
BBC NEWS | Europe | Citroen 2CV: France's iconic car
It'll give some of you an idea of what it was intended as:
Quote:
It was originally destined as a cheap country round-around for farmers, designed to be able to carry four people (or sheep) and a basket of eggs across a ploughed field without breaking any shells... or indeed bones.

My wife was born in Paris and we have always kept an eye out for a 2CV. I always thought they were neat but the fact she likes them too made me check out each one....but never found more than major projects! I guess our Smarts will be our 2CV!
