Something every Cabrio owner should demand...

Available on the 2009 MINI convertible:

Quote:
drivers with a hankering for extraneous gimmickery can order up the "Openometer", a secondary gauge that mounts next to the tach. It monitors how much time you clock with the top down.
Yep, no more recording top down time with low tech pencil and paper, there's now a gauge available. Cool name, too - "Openometer"

If you can link the rain sensor and the top open together you can see how much time you had the top open when it was raining, "Stupidometer"

I'd give up a clock pod for that. It'll go great with my Homer Simpson voiced TomTom GPS.

Sounds good, but the license fee is outrageous and it reboots every other day.

Soon there'll be hacks to "rewind" the hours of the openometer, so when the owner wants to sell the car, he can state "No UV damage to seats, carpet or dash !! Openometer reads only _____ total hours !!"
