heres probablt more what the IQ will look like...not nearly as cool looking as the original concept car..whats with that big bump on the noses of all the new Toyotas?

I think it may have to do with pedestrians, and new regulations regarding front end design to accomodate fewer windshield head strikes.

More options in this segment are better than fewer. It proves out the market and will help to improve the vehicles.

I like it, not because it may or may not be better than the smart, but because the more smarts, IQs, Braniacs, Mensas, Know-It-Alls, and other microcars the public buys and puts on the streets, the more comfortable the public becomes with the concept of a microcar. And with more micro and compact cars on the road, the fewer collisions we'll have with SUVs and bigger cars. That's gotta be a positive thing. We'll annihilate bigger cars simply by crowding them out!

iQ and new Isetta

Perhaps it just got out of the wrong side of the garage?

I read that BMW might bring back a updated version of the Isetta. Here is a Digg article on it. Here is a Jalopnik article on it. Here are the Google results for the new(er) Isetta.
