Me Neither

Commander Cody,
We live about 40 miles from Atlantic City. That FX Toy Roadshow I mentioned was in WEST Atlantic City. That's the closest I have been to AC in years.
You will be happy to hear that Lucy the Margate Elephant has had a bunch of restoration done and is looking good.
The recent trend along the shore has been to tear down the little beach cottages and replace them with behemoth duplex condos.
Lots of folks move down to the Carolinas.

I'm going to have to return to see what it all looks like. I can remember when Lucy was on the beach. Later they moved it out closer to the street.

dinky toys

dinky, schuco, tekno, britain's, auburn rubber company, ideal, hubley, etc etc all made motorcycle toys as well, which is what i collect. the motorcycles, esp by schuco, and other tin type windups from the 50's are quite expensive. auburn made rubber motorcycles as wells as cars and trucks. they date from early 40's through 1965. after that, they became plastic.

ebay will give you an idea about how much your Dinkys are worth. Growing up in California in the 60's I was a Hot Wheels kid....and still have all of them. I don't have any of the ultra high dollar cars but some have sold for as much as a Smart!!

Tekno

Yes, they are diecasts from the early 60s. Tekno has been through several iterations. If you check online, now Tekno makes very expensive truck models. Also mentions a museum in Denmark, I think.
