SORRY, but i'm still not a fan of anything that is diesel with less than 18 wheels on it.

big whoop if a Jetta diesel gets 60mpg? a Toyota Prius gets 60mpg city/51 hwy and runs on gas...which the last time i looked is still CHEAPER by 50-70 cents/gal.

like i've said in the past....."Hybrid is better than diesel BUT Electric and CNG/Fuel Cell is best" NO relying on fossil fuels what so ever!!!!

Sorry also; 2008 EPA ratings for the Prius are:
Regular Gasoline - 48 City, 46 Combined, 45 Hwy

Don't think any Prius owner saw a real world 60 mpg, although they were rated at that by the EPA. EPA tested 13 cars and got an average of 45 mpg; some of our smart owners are doing as well (although on 91 octane.)

Owned multiple VW's and all had issues. Why I bought 3 is beyond me. Shame on me. Cars were great with solid feel they just broke to often. Too many recalls, etc. So let VW have their diesel.

Soon to be AZ Smart Owner

If they bring over a new retro-look Isetta, I would be interested in that too, especially if they can throw a boxer twin in it.
