whats story on 2008 131 hp 4dr yaris sr?

doesn't seem to be offered on the us toyota site. nice classy paint color. wish smart would offer this color.

govt epa says yaris std 5 sp. manual gets 36 highway. wonder if this 131 hp would get lower.

nice looking car and color, ... wonder if they could put the 36 mpg engine & manual inside?

and since not on the us web site (no 4 dr liftbacks there) i presume its not offered in usa?

Who knows?

For some reason manufacturers have decide four door lift backs (or five doors as some refer to them) are not viable in the USA market. Crazy! So we've lost some pretty functional choices - Chevy Aveo and Ford Focus to name two. Many import makers no longer sell small wagons in the USA either, although they are everywhere in Europe. Chicken and the egg thing - are they not offered because they don't sell, or they don't sell because (doh!) they're not offered?

The Yaris 4 door is nice but not a hatchback. I did drive the coupe and liked it a lot. Prolly be my second choice. For some reason the insurance was noticably higher on the Yaris than the fortwo. *scratches head*

Canada does get the 5 door hatch of the Yaris, but not in SR (known as TS (Toyota Sport) in the rest of Europe) form. The SR designation is for UK use only.

Toyota only sells the Yaris in the form of a 3 door hatch or a 4 door saloon. The four door looks very different from the 3 door since it was designed by a different design team.
