Would you get this over the smart?

For some reason the Fiat 500 is growing on me in the same way the smart fortwo has.

Garage
Another one of the great little cars the Europeans have access to and we don't. Maybe the sales figures for smart will encourage the EU car makers to bring some of these over here.

I agree - we saw one at the Detroit NAIAS in the basement. It would be the only thing I would trade my MINI for !

With the continuing devaluation of our dollar we may see a vast new arena of two seaters in the future. Especially if the smart is any clue to those in the know.

I would get this in a heartbeat. I thought I read somewhere that maybe in 2010 we could get one. (I know, probably just a rumor), but I can dream!

Oh yeah! Had a FIAT 850 during the 70s "gas crisis". It frequently, but still got me 45 MPG.............

Hopefully in '10 when it comes, (I think it's more than a rumor, and I heard '09) they'll bring the Abarth option from the start. Smart should've introduced the Brabus from the start...all of us MINI owners would've signed up for them, and the rest of the interested, but not performance oriented could have gone for the 71 hp variety.

While I am happy to see they are making it again (like the Mini and the bug) I'd rather have an original.
