Bilsteins confirmed

The current listing Bilstein has for the U.S. Smarts (451) is incorrect.

The Bilstein B14 PSS coilovers (HE5-A763) were ordered as a correct fitment for 451s. But after receiving them and sizing them up on a customer's 2009 Smart, we confirmed that it's ONLY for the 450 chassis.

For example, the rear shock is a double eyelet vs. eyelet and pin. Tapered spring vs. barrel spring, etc.

Therefore we are sitting on a brand new set of Bilsteins for Euro Smart enthusiasts. We will be willing to off them cheap (415.226.2500) so please tell all your 450 friends!

The original post was moved to the Parts Marketplace since this is basically a parts for sale thread.

Two questions:

1) is this an adjustable ride height kit?

2) what is the cost and would you ship to Canada?

Mike, yes, it's adjustable. I believe 30-50 mm. This kit was ordered for my car (a 451). Before ordering, Bilstein called me personally to notify me of a US application (I had inquired about this a few months back). Also, Works confirmed fitment before placing the order. We didn't know until we tried to install it that it was meant for a 450. We got on the phone with Bilstein engineers, who pulled the suspension drawings.

Why Bilstein didn't confirm fitment before giving it a US part number, I have no clue!

But back to your question. Works has it listed for $799 in the classifieds here . mention SCOA to get that price. They have it listed a bit higher in the classifieds on their homepage. Not sure if they will ship to Canada. Give Works a call (worksevo.com), and ask for Pete. Tell them Terry sent you.
