Checkered mirror caps

Hey, I have done quite a bit of searching around. Can't seem to find much about mirror caps for the 451, other than the chrome ones. I am very much a fan of all the different mirror caps that I see on the mini coopers, especially the checkered flag style.
Are there any known suppliers for something like this? Or should I resort to the DIY approach? I have a decent backround with interior painting from my previous car, but never had to do any exterior. All I can think of when I think exterior is STRONG CLEARCOAT JAY, STRONG CLEARCOAT.

Ideas?
Comments?

You could always get a pair of 'plain' ones and have them WRAPPED!

....AND while you're at it, have your Tridion Cell done too!!!

Mirror caps are cinch to pull and you can make them up anyway you want afterwards. With painting the caps, it is a little more involved since you have a black tridion.

I can paint checkers on them for you! Or I can carbon fiber them in any color you would like

Nothing big, just spraying on some adhesion promoter. Check on the side skirts threads and there is some specifics.

B-Benz......do they sell the caps separate yet or is it still part of the mirror assembly only purchase?

Oh, that's right. I had forgotten that the mirror caps were painted silver on the cars with silver tridion.
