My cabrio in one year old and it will not start. I charged the battery and I need to know where to take it for repairs. I purchased from a Ford dealership. Any ideas. I'm 80 miles from Vegas.

Call AAA, then the dealership for info on repair shops that work on grey market smarts.

Sorry to hear the news.

Moved to the 450 section; maybe some of the other owners can help out.

1st question

okclarkkent

You say the battery is charged, does this mean the starter motor is turning the motor over, and the car is not starting?

If the answer to the above question is yes (1 day it worked fine and the next it didn't), the it is not an interlock problem.

But if the answer is NO (car not even turning over) then there may be an interlock not happy that we could help talk you through.

What's happened?

I think I have the same problem with my car. I went to turn it on the other morning and nothing. The lights came on (dash lights) but the motor wouldn't even turn over. The day before it was fine. I don't think it's the battery. Can anyone help or will I have to haul it 250 miles back to the dealer to get it fixed?

3 things to look at

1: try the second key
2: check battery connection.
3: check the motor ground cable

let me know
