I just got a 2007 450 that was one of the first to come in to the states. It has 7000 miles on it, theguy that sold it to me was getting rid of it due to it not being used. A few questions. It has a euro stereo in it that's locked. There is no code for it. I brought it to a local smart/MMercedes dealer who hooked it up to a computer. He also pulled the radio and inputed the serial number to a database. No luck, he seems to feel its hopeless He also leads me to believe that I'm gonna have a tough time getting parts and to have someone work on it. Apparently the dealership I was at no longer deals with them at all. I tried to get his number to possibly
give him sidewalk, said he wouldn't risk losihis job. I'm in Northern Virginia and looking for a service tech and parts. Also wondering what the process of getting emissions tested. . .
I am in atlanta, my service people have not had trouble getting parts... I have a 2005 , 450... Love it, drive it everywhere. I did put a new radio in mine, violinist...like the upgraded stereo.
:-)

If you like music at all, forget the stock stereo. Get an aftermarket head and replace the speakers. Put in rear speakers and a low profile sub under the passenger seat. Smart madness has the face plate adapter, looks great. If you must have the stock stereo, pull it out. The code maybe taped to the top of the unit.
