Had a question if it's not too much trouble. Do you happen to know the specs for the rear shocks? I.E., spring rate, full extension and compression numbers, brand?

I'm needing a set of coilover shocks to replace the stock springs and dampeners, don't know where to start....

WOW! that is horrible... i hope everything works out on the car. BTW this is my first post and im glad i read this. DANG! i will definitely stay away from smartuki for sure and any other build kit for that fact. I wanna find me a used, older, cheap smart and drive it till it rots then try and build a kit for it.

ANYONE WITH A SMART FOR SALE, with or without mods please lemme know, im on a budget for now.
best regards, dakota

I am the (unfortunate) individual that purchased Eric's car. We still have not been able to source a replacement CV for the thing. It is AMAZING how poorly smartuki supports their product. It may be cool once it is all together, but I think Eric has hit the nail on the head stating that it is a company run by children.

Yoshi, the supporting vendor a few posts up, I think is the only person right now. Another vendor (Boeschbuilt) did one, but the latest is that it burned him out a wee bit, and he isn't looking to jump into another one just yet.

My sense is that Yoshi does an A1 job, but doesn't check in on this forum too much. Look him up on his website and give him a call.

Good luck.

geosynch

PS -- couldn't help myself. Link to Yoshi's website
