Here is a thought for anyone for the 30th of this month.
Culpepper, Virginia is an interesting town with good food. Nothing negative by me. I have emailed the host for smart discounts. Anything positive, I will let you know. Before the 23rd it is $12.00 and $15.00 after. Any takers, sound off too let us know who is going.
They responded with the following:
"Bill, Sounds fun--I can offer $10.00 day of show registration if that helps.
I can also offer a special parking area if there are 5 or more cars.
Best Regards, Brent"
Another thought has occured. Sound off if you are interested.
May 30th Stafford Classics 3rd Annual Car Show Okay--let me be very biased--this is the best show of the year (yes, Stafford Classics runs it!) It's a relaxed day under the trees with great cars and really nice people. So far, we have folks coming from Charlottesville, Va, Rockville, Maryland, Washington DC, Pennsylvania and of course, all over our Northern Virginia area. Some unusual cars show up for this show--folks pull vehicles out their garages that haven't seen a show for years. We have special 'corral' areas for Mopars, Mustangs and F-Bodies of ALL years. It looks like the Mopars may rule this year as they have already come through with Hemi Cuda's, Roadrunners, Satellites, Challengers, Shelby Turbos, Dusters, and a bunch of others. Sounds like a challenge to the other makes. Bring a camera, I promise you some cars you have NEVER seen and a few you may have seen in magazines.
The show venue is across from Mt Ararat Baptist Church in Stafford, VA at 65 Toluca Road, Stafford, Va 22554. Map is here. All Cars, Trucks and Bikes are welcome. Show is on grass and under trees. Park where you want. Bring a picnic lunch or buy food on site. 75 trophies will be awarded in 5 classes. On-site photography. Registration is $12.00 before 23 May/$15 Day of Show. Rain Date is 6 June. Gates open at 0630; Registration closes at 1:00pm; Judging ends at 2:00pm, Trophies awarded at 2:30pm. Show is followed by a cruise just down the road at Brusters. Contact Brent at 540-752-4499 if you have questions. Special Features for 2009:

My youngest said next time just place the Stafford site (Car Show Calendar) and forget about the cut and paste. It takes up less room. My greys got in the way. Anyhow, I-95, Exit 140, "Stafford exit". It is close to I-95. Culpepper as we can see is misleading for the subject line.
So the May 30th car show is coming up fast.
Shall we aim for a time to meet??
I see they open at 6:30am and have registration til noon.
No way I'm going at 6:30am, how about 9am-ish??
I'm just now catching up after not being on since May 6! (It's been a heck of busy month!)
Does this car show in Culpeper take the place of BBQ at Point of Rocks we were talking about earlier in the month? I'd like to go but I'm committed to helping out my property assocation on May 30 in Capon Bridge WV, if they still have it. If not, I may show up and try to get my sister and her 1953 turquoise Studebaker, except it hasn't been started all winter.
