I wanted to share my experience this past weekend on getting my 10k service.

I went to Tysons for my 10k service this past weekend. The MB Tysons performs the work on the Smarts however, they did not have any mechanics on hand. I was also told by MB that the 10k service for a Smart would be $350.

I then left Tysons and headed over to Smart Alexandria to get the 10k service. Spencer (nice guy) was able to get me in and out in 45 minutes without a reservation. The total cost of the 10k service from Alexandria was $178

What service is 10k? I thought there was an oil change at 10k and I was quoted $100 for that, which I think is outrageous. I'm used to paying $15 for an oil change.

The owners manual has all of the details but the 10k service includes replacement of the cabin air filter, adding of fluids, ecu software diagnostic check and inspection of the mechanical components.

Do you know you received the same service? 10K service one place may be different that the other. Glad to see either number, I figured it'd be higher!

It's pretty laid out what that service entails. Spencer is fantastic. I met when I picked up my smart. The Service center was closed but he was there. He answered all my questions that I was worried about. Plus sold my Mom a t shirt and key chain for my birthday :-)
