August Meet, Greet and Eat?

Ok... I spoke to the Jerry Schulte the Managing Partner at Bowie's Texas Roadhouse today(like I've been saying I would do) and he didn't give any indication that anyone else had called them regarding a smart meet-up there. What Jerry did say is that it would be best to meet earlier & gave approval for us to eat at 5pm. He was really cool with everything but really sounded like the staff and other diners would appreciate us coming in earlier like 5pm since he said they start getting really busy about 6:30. But whatever...
wrumbarger- are you sure faithindc "has taken point" on this meeting because I thought I was suppose to be arranging it. Doesn't matter- I just need to know whether to keep the restaurant informed or if I need to just step down. Does faithindc have connections there? That's cool if he/she does. I just want to know. It's official! I've gotten approval from Jerry Schulte, Managing Partner. He's actually excited about it! AND they have great food!

When: August 23 Mid-Atlantic smart Meet, Greet & Eat
Meeting at 3:30pm (smart-convoy if you can!)
Seated to eat at 5:00pm
Where: Texas Roadhouse in Bowie, MD

Why: Because we can!

I'm going to start another thread with Mid-Atlantic in the title so maybe we'll get a little more attention. Their parking lot is large so we can have our own area OR park in the HUGE parking lot attached to theirs so we can get some great pictures. 1st smart there gets to decide! Be thinking of "smart formations" we can shoot photos of... Also think of the modifications you've done to your smart so we can share that information with eachother.

Wow, I completely missed this discussion. Been prowling around on the "other" website I guess (and I was out of town all last week). I won't be able to make an August meet and greet but then I'm still a "smart hopeful" so I'd be making the trip in a Dodge Stratus and at 20mpg at best, that would be a hike for me even if I didn't have a huge outdoor festival to plan for the following weekend.

We've eaten there several times and the food has been very good each time. I'm a REALLY picky eater also so I don't know where you're coming from. Trust me- if it was even remotely bad I would never go there again. I guess everyone's entitled to their own opinion though...
