On YouTube a lot of twisted posters use the word banned very loosely. It's a way to gain views from other uninformed browsers. Search for banned commercials and try to find a single example of a banned commercial in the results. Pure B.S.
I remember one commercial that was banned - as in pulled from the airways - shortly after airing. It was the Reebok vs Nike bungee jumping. It was funny but I can understand why some without humor would complain about the commercial. The word "Banned" isn't in the title but it comes up with the search.
Why is it voluntarily pulled? Stations aren't running it, consumers are protesting.... It's not the FCC getting involved as far as I know, but there's no longer a place to showcase the commercial. Isn't that "banned?"
