Spread the word to anyone that is in the process of buying a Smart from you area to join SCOA. And to those that are already members of SCOA from the Mid-Atlantic region to post to this thread supporting the creation of a Mid-Atlantic Region.
Just stated by Old Smart

Count me in...

Keep in mind that most/all Delawareans will purchase in Pennsylvania.

Well a Mid_Atlantic Region request has to do more with the location of Smart owners than where one picks up the Smart. As mentioned by E-smart earlier in this thread.

We don't have a choice were we pick up our Smarts but we can choose how best inform each other within the Mid-Atlantic Region.

New England needs its own region as well. Best to split Mid-Atlantic from New England leaving Northeast to de facto be New England Chapter. Growth in ownership will fill out each of these regions. I certainly don't expect to attend a meet & greet if it is held at a Hooters parking lot in NJ.

Oops, don't get me wrong, I'm born and bred NJ'ite. Just a long way from Boston to travel for a day especially in a smart. I'm still trying to comprehend taking this car on the Cross Bronx Expressway to visit my daughter in Hoboken.

Besides, we don't want to bore you with discussion of snow tires, heated seats, aftermarket ice-proof windshield wipers, frozen gas and bad drivers in Boston, or Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins and Patriots chatter.

No worries 4-2NV
Its not really a political thing. But like you said more of a common region. The current North East Region sub forum encompasses too large an area. And true, here in the Mid-Atlantic have not much to worry about heavy snow.
We only worry about the Redskins, Nationals, Orioles, NHL Capitals, Ravens and the Wizards. Well not all of us.

And the six New England states (CT, RI, MA, VT, NH, ME) even have their own flag - the "Bunker Hill," with six stars on a blue fly. NY, NJ and PA are plenty big enough by themselves to be "Northeast" without New England and Mid-Atlantic Regions. VT has more to do with PQ than NJ.
