I note that the dealer prep fee is subject to sales tax too!! Which goes up to 5.28% in Hampton Roads on 01 APR (the Transpo Bill).

This in our wonderful Commonwealth where the ABC stores charge sales tax on the tax that the state levies on all liquor purchases. Squeeze em 'til they bleed.

Totally off topic but I can't believe those ABC stores are still going; Langley was my first AF assignment and the state stores were an amazement to us non-Virginians back then. Too good a revenue source, I guess.

It's for that reason that NEXCOM and AAFES gets my buck.

Doc fees are taxed in Illinois as well.
