To finance your smart. Just reading the poor guy who lost his orphan cause he didn't have good enough credit to get it. It brought to mind a moment that I thought I was going to have problems.

I went through FCFCU, and got a great rate. The problem is, they only have the three levels and the base price in their system. There isn't any additional items, like power steering or alarm. Plus no fees are taken into consideration for borrowing. I had to get special approval to cover what I needed.

I bought a reserved smart, so the markup wasn't that bad. Anyone getting a orphan may have problems, or anyone who went crazy with options may.

I got my financing at Arlington VA Federal Credit Union. I thought I might have some problems because I have a few "dings" on my credit record. But I asked them to deduct the payment every two weeks (when I get paid) automatically so I would ensure them there would be no default. Credit unions are the best deal these days because, unlike banks where the CEOs get paid big bucks, CUs have money to lend.
