Service bulletin on 09 Smart

I got a call a couple of hours ago asking me to bring my 09 in for a service bulletin, the lady said it was about the battery. It is 100 miles one way, so I asked if Smart was going to send a truck to pick up the car. For me to take, the car in I would have to take a day off work. I asked them to send me a copy of the service bulliten, if it does not require parts or special tools I would do it myself. She said the Service manager would try and get a copy and email it to me.

Has anyone else been called in for a service bulliten on their 09?

Where can we find a copy of this, or any, Service Bulletin?

heres the scoop!
-couple of sticker issues, door jam and engine compartment. not sticking well enough and cant be read.
-new battery for certain model with options, it seems as if the battery is too small for well equiped models
-new owners manual, tells about the shifting, and battery size.
-upgrade on computer program. for shifting.

this is all from the factory, kinda strange if your dealer says isnt needed.

They're doing all that on the 09 models too? I thought most of that stuff was only for the 08's. - sheureka

I called and talked the service guy at the Mercedes dealership who handles the smart. The guy looked up my car since I had bought it at the smart dealer attached to them and based off my VIN I apparently do not need anything done. He says that my car has no campaigns outstanding (didn't know my car was running for president).

Your getting a contact bridge 09's do not get the battery's. If you are equipped with the comfort package on the 09 you get a contact bridge they need this thats why the check engine lights are coming on, on the 09's
