It is the time of year that the leaves on the Skyline Drive (Shenandoah National Park) are changing to wonderful colors.
Last year, I headed a smart tour and we had a bunch of fun.
Planning on doing it again this year.

Depart from Tyson's Corner smart center at 6:30AM

(closest intersection for GPS) S Royal Ave & E Criser Rd, Front Royal, VA 22630
$15 per vehicle fee (sorry no half fee for smart cars I did ask)
Travel thru Skyline Drive periodically stopping for overlooks and potty breaks and lots of pics.
exit Skyline drive at Swift Run Gap (65 miles about mid point of the drive)
WARNING: If there are 20 (or more) vehicles, we will be required to split into smaller groups and have 15 min between groups (we will plan on that when we have to)

After Swift Run Gap (stop E), you can continue south on Skyline for another 60+ miles (if you want to)
Or you can retrace the route back to the Front Royal entrance, but, in the interest of time, I will be exiting at Swift Run Gap and proceeding along Rt 29 back to I-66 and back to Northern Virginia.
