Attention Smart Owners n Friends!!!

Here's the Plan: We would like to invite our customers and other smart owners to a fun filled ride to DC. First we all would gather for complimentary breakfast and then a ride together to DC to see the cherry blossoms. Here's the "cherry on top", we are even working on getting free parking waiting for us downtown!!!

What we need: We need feedback and ideas. We also need a head count so we can plan accordingly. Our tentative day is Saturday April 4th. Which happens to be the peak of the blossoms this year and just around the corner. So please let us know if you would like to participate. We would very much like this to be an annual event.

Whose coming with us!!!

Count Rachel and I in. We may have 2 Smarts that day depending on when you get mine in. My DDE is showing April 09 to June 09.

We would like to come. I don't know whom you're working with to arrange parking, but if you're having trouble the program coordinator for the National Cherry Blossom Festival is Emily Todd, 202-661-7592, emily@downtowndc.org. She's also the festival's contact with the National Park Service. You could check with her or with the festival's president, Diana Mayhew, 202-661-7596, diana@downtowndc.org.

The festival may even want to make the smart cars part of the National Cherry Blossom Parade, which will be held April 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. If they don't, and if the parade would interfere with the smart car drive, you may want to change the day or time for your drive. If you don't get anywhere with the festival planners, you could get in touch with the District's Department of Transportation for parking; call us for some contact suggestions there -- 202-234-6982.

We would like to thank everyone for their replies and excitement so far. Just to let everyone know, the invite was for anyone and everyone who wanted to ride their smart with us to DC. It doesn't matter where you bought your smart or where you live.

We currently are working out the last details and more info will be available soon. We have a rough head count of about 15-20 smarts so far.
