VA meet sounds like a wonderful idea. We could all meet at Tysons and ride together.

We could also choose a place in DC to meet and then ride to the Cherry Blossom's festival.

There was talk earlier in this post about getting us parking spaces. But no followup???

I'm not sure that driving down there this Saturday is a good idea, there are a lot of festival events going on that day.

All the recommendations I've heard were to use public transportation. I don't know that we will be able to actually park anywhere.

I just called the Germantown dealership this evening and found out some more details. They said they would post information soon, but here is the gist of what they told me.

They do have parking arranged about a block away from the tidal basin. There is no need to sign up, everyone is welcome. There will be breakfast at the dealership from, I believe he said 7:30 through 9-ish, followed by a group photograph (at 9:15 I believe it was), followed by the drive to the cherry blossoms. I didn't have a pen and paper to write down the times when I called so I can't guarantee that I remembered them 100%- still that's the general plan.

Cherry Blossom Ride
The National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington D.C. is beginning in one week and you can be a part of it.
Join us for a drive from Germantown to Washington D.C. while our capital is in full cherry blossom bloom. Many smart owners have already committed to this ride and we are hoping to start a tradition that we can repeat every year from here on.

We are looking forward to a great day with all of you!

Here is our schedule for April 4th</SPAN>

Breakfast in Germantown: 7:30am - 9:00am
Group Picture: 9:00am - 9:15am
Ride to Washington D.C.: 9:15am - 10:00am (Scenic Route)

We arranged parking for everybody downtown at $8 for the whole day.

I bought my Smart in NJ but just relocated to MD so will be joining in the Saturday festivities. I've long hoped to be part of a "Smart Mob" so this is a dream come true! Maybe we can do some more guerrilla marketing in the future with little packs of random Smart Flash Mobs...

Thanks for posting the details! Even though I'm in VA, the trip up to Germantown isn't that far, so I'll probably be heading up there for my starting point.
