Washington DC Auto Show Hope to see you there?

Howdy all
If you come to the Washington DC auto show (Feb 4-8)
Washington Auto Show
Please stop by the smart display.
There will be reps from all of the local smart dealers.
There is also a possibility of seeing the ELECTRIC DRIVE version there (not confirmed, but is has been at other shows in the US?)
I will be there Thurs and Sat, look for the tall(est) guy in the smart area?

When does everyone plan on going. I know Rachel and I plan to be there Saturday when they open. Anyone want to hook up for lunch, Hooters is just around the corner and so is Fudruckers.

I was actually thinking of going Sunday.

Hint: Last year I went around 6 p.m. on Saturday and the majority of the crowd was gone. I even got a great parking spot in the lot across the street.

Went to the autoshow today. Big emphasis on green and electric/hybrid tech. In the lobby of the convention center they have a "green" pavilion that features a fortwo as the most efficient gas only vehicle sold in the US. Also an electric mini.

I saw Lance from smartcenter Tysons at the smart booth and there seemed to be a steady stream of foot traffic looking at the 2 cars displayed. smart display is sort of tucked away behind the Hyundai area. It would have been nice had it been next to the Mercedes area. In the Merc area they had an electric A-class displayed. And in Toyota an electric iQ. Definitely wider than a smart. Yes, rear seat for two...really small folks.

Maybe it's just me but it seemed like not as much was displayed as in previous years. On the must see list: classic cars, especially in the Hemmings area (love that pickup and the 50s corvette; the VW bug from the recent ad campaign (a 62 I believe); Tesla, especially the cut-away model; the Sprinter based RVs

Go. It's fun and cheap entertainment at $10 or $8 or $6 if you go on a discount day.

Where to find the smart display at DC auto show?

Howdy all
I spent the day at the Auto Show yesterday, and thought I would mention how to find the smart display (it took me a little while to find it the first time)?

We are located on the escalator side of the lower level hall.

We are between "STATE FARM" insurance area and "KIA" display.
And across the aisle from "JAGUAR".

There is a passion coupe and a cabrio on display.
There is also a passion coupe in the "Green Car Pavilion" on the entrance level.

I will be there most of the day Saturday?
Hope to see you there?

For those of you who were not able to make the Washington Auto show, i took the liberty of taking some pictures of the humble little Samrt display at the WDC auto show friday night. Sorry i missed the passion at the "Green Pavilion", but i certainly burned the ears off at the two gents form the Annapolis dealership about Mr. Blue, and even showed him off on my cel phone , baby moons and all. You can see the photos at on my members gallery. Too bad the electric version was not there, but there was a flock of attendees at the Smart car display. ( Can't say that about the majority of the American car displays with the execption of Chevrolet with the Volt, Corvette, and the new Camaro)

BTW saw the Toyota IQ which is to be under the Sicon name and that crazy looking Nissan Cube. Those are supposed to compete with the Smart? Gimmie a break.

OK I thought I was keeping up with what all smart is doing, but I hadn't heard anything about a two tone car, where the front is a different color from the middle. What was that about?
