White House bumblebee

The Washington Post has a story in its gossip column today about the bumblebee in the White House, owned by Anita McBride, Laura Bush's chief of staff.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...030503877.html

In another thread "Blue Passion Cabrio in Bethesda," I wrote about the bumblebee my wife and I spotted on 15th Street, NW, and later in the thread said that the Germantown dealership identified the owner as a White House employee. Now she's been outed by the Post, and we know who she is.

A highly technical story:

In the article, it says she paid $16K with all the extras. The base price for the cabriolet is $16,590. So, I don't see how that is possible. I tell people I paid $16K for my coupe and the 'options' was the color.

Sighting(s) in DC

Spotted a Bumblebee coupe (either pure or passion, the latter I think) northbound on 20th St. NW, waiting to turn left on Mass. today, Friday April 25th, at 11:35 AM. Distinctive sign: a matching yellow whatchamacallit at the antenna's tip.
Anyone we know?
