Thanks for the ideas also. My HOG Chapter sponsor does very similar things. This first meeting is only to get to know the interested parties, find out what interests folks have, and etc. I'm sure later Rick will come up with some 'spiff' ideas. He's very interested in helping support and get this group going.

The Red Carpet was rolled out by Bloomfield Smart for the the 1st meeting of SMOG, the not yet officially named, Smart car Michigan club.

Our guess, there were over 25 members in attendance and many from the dealership including the Service group, Sales and Management.

This thing looks like a big winner for all concerned... Let's do it again... Soon!

What a great start for the Michigan Owners Group. Nearly thirty very enthusaistic smart owners and reservationists and 10 -12 new smarts braved blizzard weather predictions to attend. Lots of great ideas for future events to enjoy our smarts were discussed and the first local smart Road Tour drew much attention along the route. Thanks for all who attended and an open invitaton for those who could not make it this time.

A HUGE thanks go to Rick Cortright and the entire smart center Bloomfield team for their 'above and beyond' hospitality. Not only did they provide us with a wonderful meeting room(aka smart University - the training room at smartUSA), but also enthusiam, refreshments and a smart gift to each inaugural attendee. Additionally, a beautiful smart jacket was given as a 'long distance' prize. One smartie traveled over 300 miles round trip to attend.

The next event is currently being planned and will probably be a 'care and feeding of you smart' tech session hosted by the smart center Bloomfield service department. Stay tuned.

Very cool; wondered if the weather would be a problem - guess not. Any smart center that doesn't learn from this is missing the boat IMHO; they need to support their present (and future) customers as well as the brand. Congrats to smart center Bloomfield for showing how to do this.
