Tnt: Wife runs Mich+some Ohio. 300 mile days are not uncommon.

We are grooming the little Smart to be a work car, and it will replace our Subies in most weather.

We have been pushing the break in time and driving the car in shifts. High freeway speeds are a must ASAP. The first of the work trips will be up to Grant Michigan.

So how many miles have you put on your smart? Do you like it?

On my last post here in this forum, I mentioned high speed freeway driving as a goal. This is only AFTER a "by the book" break in.

Even after our 1000 miles we will hold our 4k+ RPMs to short runs. When we reach 1,500 miles it's all out. Going to try for 150,000 on the Smart. (We get 200,000 on the Subies.)

BTW we now have 900 miles. almost there. Last MPG check= 42mpg. That's town and country,a little city driving, and about 30 mins freeway (varying RPMs). She runs nice at 85mph. (about 1 minute).
