sMUG Meet – Woodward Dream Cruise
Saturday Aug. 16th
The smart Michigan Users Group (sMUG – The Home Team) invites all smart owners to meet in at Poppleton Park in Birmingham MI at 10:AM on August 16th. At 10:30 we will depart to drive together in the Woodward Dream Cruise. The drive will be followed by a picnic lunch at Poppleton Park.

What?
The Woodward Dream Cruise is the world's largest one-day celebration of classic car culture that attracts over 1 million visitors, and more than 40,000 muscle cars, street rods, custom, collector and special interest vehicles.

Where?
The Dream Cruise takes place along a 16-mile stretch of legendary Woodward Avenue

Cost?
There are no fees to drive in the Woodward Dream Cruise. Anyone can participate.

Staging Area & Parking? (see map)
Enter onto Wimbleton Drive from Adams road heading West. We will stack vehicles North of the park and depart at 10:30AM. After driving in the Dream Cruise, return to the staging area to park and attend the picnic.

Things to Bring?
Your lunch with drinks, Chairs, Coolers, Blankets, Yard Games, Frisbee etc.

Look forward to meeting you. Several people have responded they are attending, as the notice is also posted on the smartinsider web site.

Additionally, over 500 invitations went out today to smart Center Bloomfields customer list.

We expect a good turnout, and a great time.

Does the Kawgirl mean you're also a biker?

Glad to have another biker in the Michigan smart family. I've got 4 in the garage - that may be an addiction rather than a hobby

Hi -
I've always been a spectator in the Dream Cruise and am not too sure I want to drive down Woodward as part of the Cruise. Can we just come for the "meeting" and not the drive? If I change my mind, how long do you think the drive would be?

Even if I can't drive the Cruise, I look forward to meeting everyone. I've never been able to make your other meetings.

Laura,

Of course you're welcome for as many or few of the activities as you'd like. Just meet us in the park for the picnic, or drive in the cruise. The cruise is always a stop and go bottleneck, but kind of fun.

This whole thing, like sMUG, is rather loosely structured and the only goal is to meet other smart owners and have a good time.
