Because it's to late now and they know they can charge you an arm and a leg.

That's what I thought when I shelled out 250 clams for my orphan BUT what can you do? Refuse to pay it? If it's something I want I'm going to get it and hopefully I'll pick it up legally. Glad my ordered car has them.

hum, ya know the age old question: "Is your half EMPTY or half FULL?"

so think of adding parts to your smart THIS way.....order it on your smart and they are giving you one heck of a DEAL.

buy the parts later, sorry...NO DEAL!

Howie Mandel can fill ya in on the principal of how this works.....

and for the record, i'm ORDERING my smart with a Tach/Clock, along with Fog Lamps. too much hassle to install them 'after the fact' plus i'm saving $$$!!!

We're talking about an "orphan" that didn't have the tach/clock but adding them now. Glad you ordered yours with the tach/clock. So did I.

oh, i know.....but that's part of the price you pay for impatience. get your smart NOW, but add this and this and this and pay more for it OR wait and get what you want and pay much less.

i simply opted for the latter.......but to each his own.

I just ordered them here in the O.C. and it was $250 for the tack/clock and $18 for the colored bezel and tax. To me they just look cool, liked them when I first saw a Smart in Tokyo about 8 years ago and that's what I remembered most. My car was an orphan so I didn't have a choice, because if I did, it would have it all. Wish I can do factory foglights but that doesn't seem to be working yet.

This was the car I saw in Tokyo in the winter of 2000

HELP with installation!

Hi guys,
i have followed the directions for installing the instruments but I don't see the connector for the instruments. The instructions say that "it's at the back of the box" but I don't see it. I have the radio out and I cannot see a connector.

Please help!

Jerry
