The dealer was charging us $289 plus install when we got our Smart since it was not ordered and put on directly at the factory.

While not the $120 pre order price you would pay if you were to order them at the time your car was built, we sell these for $249.99 including trim rings. That beats most, if not all dealers.

That is the best we can do...

Just installed my gauges and Radio 10. Total time was about 1/2 hour. Most of that was carefully cutting down the trim piece for the gauges to fit. Easy install and now I have a proper smart!

Ordered them from SCP-Parts.com and were shipped with DHL. I think DHL uses the same tracking formula as the DDE. Ordered on Oct 29 and tracking said deliver on Nov 5. Two days later, tracking said delivery on Nov 6. They showed up today, on Nov 4! Not complaining! I dont think DHL is really big around here so I guess they estimate long.

I stopped by the Denver dealer reference several items, boy do they try to screw you. Tach and clock installed $475.00, I install $280.00. factory install $160.00 Air con install $5000.00 plus. Fog lights they say can't be installed after market. Mine is pre-wired and ready to go. Anyone know where I can get a Tach and clock at a fair price.
Thanks

I doubt you'll find them for less than dealer price of $249. SCP-Parts.com was easy to work with and theyre on your side of the country!

One tip on installation: one of the web sites I read said the connector for the gauges is right under where the gauges go. Mine wasnt there. Checked another web site and it said you have to remove the radio and the connector is taped to the wiring harness. Thats where mine was and all I had to do was fish it up to the gauge assembly. No biggie but I sort of freaked when I couldnt see the connector!
