Advice needed on XM radio connection

I have an XM Nexus and I just ran an aux through the glove box and have the antenna on the dash. The problem I'm having is with the electrical connection. I mounted a 3-plug outlet under the dash (see picture) for my BT GPS, my phone (which I use for GPS) and Nexus. The phone and GPS receiver are just going to sit in the cupholder. I can see the screen fine, and I'm almost always by myself so I really don't need both cupholders.

The radio wiring is another problem. I hate the way it looks now, so I either have to drill a hole in the glove box and bring it out under the dash, or figure out some other way to get it down there. Even if I hardwire it, I'll still have to figure out a way to get the wiring out of the glove box. Any ideas?

TIA

I have the same issue. I think I am going to take the aux connection out of the glove box and put it somewhere under the dash. The physical connection itself is threaded through a hole in the side of the glove box.

drill in the glovebox

I would drill a hole in a hard to see spot in the glovebox. I did that when I added an aftermarket head unit so I could keep an Ipod locked in the glovebox. I also kept the factory aux connection just in case. The way mine is installed, no one would know we drilled the hole even if they do open the glove box.

For cleaning up the power connections scroll down to the bottom of the page from the link here. It gives you the capability to add additional wires in the fuse box eliminating the plugs. http://www.smart-parts-direct.com/ac...ior_cabin.html

I bought them but haven't used them as of yet.

After messing around some more, I think I've figured out a way. There's a rubber gasket on the inside where the door closes - so I ran the cord to the right, pushed it behind that gasket, ran it under the dash, and plugged it in. The only place the cord shows is the space between the vent and the right side of the dash. The cord is very secure in there and everything could be removed in 2 seconds. No drilling, no wiring, no ugly!

couldn't one just gain access through the AUX plug surround?
