I looked at that one before getting the car, it does fit great - as an either/or choice, though, I decided on having the cargo cover (which works out great keeping things sorted and covered from prying eyes). Still may get it to work along with the cargo cover or as an occasional alternative

I liked the looks of that large Rola organizer, but knew I'd rarely need something that big, so, per another thread on here, I went to Target and bought this instead:

Case Logic Large Trunk Organizer #TAT045. $15

It's a nice height and size, and stores easily behind one of the seats. It doesn't have a rigid floor, but does have velcro on the corners that keep it from sliding around.

Folded up, it looks like this:

And will easily fit behind a seat:

One can unfold just half of it, and use it that way:

Or open it all the way:

Yes noticed that too, air it out for a few days if you plan on keeping the windows rolled up :-)

I too would consider the cargo cover and this looks like it would fit under the cover when opened up. I seem to recall it is 7 inches tall when open.

I got the Rola one two weeks before I got my car! It works great. I've now started keeping it flat, though, unless I need it for small things. I can fit more grocery bags into the cargo area when I have it folded down.

I ordered one from Uhaul. Free shipping.
Large is $44.95
Small is $34.95 I ordered the small one. Takes up about 3/4 of the back area. If I was to order again I would go with the large version.

Rola Organizer

I got the large one and it fits perfectly and works great. I did have to air it out for a few days to reduce it's initial rubber smell.

It's very adjustable and folds down in a flash, however, in it's folded down state it DOES NOT fit in the rear hatch storage compartment (wish it did).

Would buy it again though...perfect for the Smart. Purchased from Rack N Road for $53.95 with free freight.

The fit is perfect. The configuration capabilities are superb. The quality is exceptional. BUT THE LITTLE SUCKER STINKS! I placed a cereal bowl filled with ammonia in each compartment to absorb the petroleum odor. Works pretty well. Now I've purchased an actual "odor absorber" and put it in the rear area. Mostly OK after a week.

Add me to the list of people who love the Rola organizer. I love that I can lift it out by the handles (when someone's just GOTTA see the engine!) and I can put my purse, hat, shopping, etc. in the numerous little adjustable cubbies and keep groceries upright.
