What PIAA product are you talking about?
In general any fog can be rigged as long as there are boltings for the lamps. I was personally looking at the 004XT, 1100X and the 1400 series PIAAs.

Let me know if you or any counterparts have installed these in the two holes where the stock factory foglamps can go.

Thanks for always taking time out to answer my questions...

Guess what my button bank modification is going to control???

1) My fog lights
2) The controlling feature for my video NAV system. It will control it so that I can turn off/on the no video/no nav input during driving feature.

Looking at the sizes I think the 004XT should fit if you make a bracket for it.
Obviously you will want to just cut holes in the existing grills instead of getting the smart grills as they have oval cut outs.

Foglights Foglights Foglights ? ? ?

I've yet to hear a credible or successfull foglight mod or installation.
If so, pass it on. I've seen where alot of people have been wanting this info.
yet no one seems to be seriously taking this trivial problem on face to face.
Up until now I've been too lazy to make the magic happen myself but for the good of the smart world I'm about to get off my a$$ and brighten the world.

I've already bought the 2 factory fogs (under the Mercedes name by the way)
and I've installed them along with the 2 smart foglight inserts. but as you all know, smart won't give the smart centers the code to activate.

So we've got to approach this issue commando style and wire our own sh**.
and thats just the way it's got to be. If we can't go through them we've got
to go around them.

chinaski out!

They are only foglights, it would be no problem making them light up but I don't want a 3rd party ugly switch.

I agree totally about the switch issue but I can tell you as the owner of a couple of nice european whips, In a car this small the fogs sets it apart.
I'm thinking of wiring it and hiding the switch but also of tapping into a
fuse port that kills the power when the key is turned off so as to not kill my battery if I forget to turn off my concealed switch.
