Aftermarket bike Rack?

I'm hoping to be getting an orphan in the next month or two and am trying to figure out a way to transport two bicycles. I was looking at the amount of room along the upper door frame and I think a long tray might have enough support to work. My other idea was whether or not a trunk mount would mount on the rear window and tailgate. I already have a both of the above, which is why I'm hoping that it's feasible to use one of them instead of spending $$$ to buy the factory model.

It is a pretty simple task installing a 2 inch receiver to the rear subframe.


It is about 2 hours max. then you can use any receiver bike rack. I have carried our tandem,, 2 road bikes and 2 mountain bikes. Look for my post called 2 inch hitch install in the Modification section.
