Car Bra?

I do a lot of highway driving in my Zebra and the dead bug look is getting old ... is anyone making bras for our smarts yet?

I had one of these made for my restored 914 from a tracing I made of the hood. I'm sure they'd do one for the fortwo.

Oh, woops, the smart is plastic...it won't work.

I'm sure if you google "car bra" one of the big manufacturers will make one for you if it doesn't already.

I'd just apply Rejex and carry a bottle of detail spray and a towel. They'll come off easily without having to wash the whole car. You'll have to wash the bra anyway-bugspots on black vinyl will look pretty awful in short order.

My smart prefers to go braless. The only time I have put a bra on one of my cars was to cover up damage until I could afford to fix it, the bugs are just as dead on the bra. The other thing I noticed was that dirt got ground in between the body and the bra and the vibrations acted like sandpaper. I had to paint a larger part of the corvette than the original damage.

What about the clear stick-on shields? I've seen these used on road-trips, then removed for show or normal (non-buggy) use?
